What Is Remote ID?
Remote ID is essentially the “digital license plate” for drones. It allows a drone to broadcast its identification, location, and other relevant flight information in real time to other airspace users and authorities. Similar to how cars have license plates that allow authorities to identify them, Remote ID aims to provide a way for law enforcement, air traffic control, and other operators to track drone activity, enhancing safety and accountability.
